Dear friends,
As of December 2024, we are now the proud owners of a new property, very close the "La Contea", our little "Shire"
on the hill of Santa Lucia in San Benedetto del Tronto, where we hope you'll have sooner or later the chance to come (or to come back).
Our desire is to build a space for the Scuola Chesterton, our little school that has grown through the years and now is home to 110 lively students. With the purchase of the new property, we have officially completed the first phase of this new and exciting project, and are now moving forward with the first steps in constructing our new home.

La "Contea", or "the Shire", the property where our small community gathers to meet weekly, was bought and built by pooling our savings and receiving many gifts from many friends around the world, moved no doubt by Divine Providence.
The new property is an area that once housed a restaurant, very near where we live and spend most of our time. It is a beautiful area, very scenic, with a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea and the city and harbour. The plan is to relocate the entire school (that now counts more than 110 pupils from elementary school to high school included and is located in the southern border of our town) and all the offices between the area we bought 13 years ago and this new one.

We want to rely on our own strengths and those of our friends who have always supported us over the years. We do not want to resort to borrowing from the banks because we want to take the opportunity even on this occasion to say that we can build something with our own strength, with mutual help and above all with the help of Divine Providence, in which we believe more than in the existence of the earth on which we rest our feet.
